Since the beginning of 2023, this project has focused on repurposing and recycling old clothes and furniture, promoting sustainable solid waste management in Ramallah. It also creates economic opportunities for low-income families, helps university students cover tuition fees, and donates clothing to families in need through charitable organizations.
The municipality has placed ten clothing donation bins in public gardens and schools across eight city locations. Donated items are collected, sorted, and either sold to fund charitable initiatives or directly donated. The project also encourages citizens to donate old furniture, refurbished by Jalazone camp’s Women and Youth Collective, then sold or donated. Funds support student tuition and a charitable pharmacy in Jalazone refugee camp.
